Merrill Osmond, 71, paid a heartfelt tribute to his brother on Facebook, revealing that Wayne had suffered a “massive stroke” before his death. He described Wayne as a man of great humility, devoid of guile, and known for his quick forgiveness and unconditional love. Merrill noted that Wayne’s departure would be a time of sadness, but also emphasized the joy of knowing that Wayne would be celebrated in the afterlife by those waiting for him.
Wayne’s brother Jay Osmond, 69, shared his deep connection with Wayne, reflecting on their decades-long relationship. He recalled how Wayne had often expressed his sadness about not being able to fly his plane anymore, a hobby that had brought him peace. Jay found solace in knowing that Wayne had “earned his wings” and was now soaring in heaven, reunited with their parents.
