A 71-year-old veteran American Airlines flight attendant, Celinda Levno, was tragically killed during a random stabbing spree in Denver while on a layover. According to the Denver Police Department, Elijah Caudill, 24, was arrested late Sunday evening in connection to a series of four stabbings that occurred over the weekend.
Levno, who began her career with America West in 1989, was one of the victims found with stab wounds to her neck during the attack around 5:17 p.m. on Saturday. Despite immediate medical response, she later succumbed to her injuries in a local hospital. Two other victims sustained injuries in the same incident, including another man who later died from his wounds.
American Airlines and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants expressed heartbreak over Levno’s death, describing her as a beloved and dedicated colleague. The airline provided support to Levno’s family, loved ones, and colleagues during this difficult time.
Authorities do not believe Caudill and the victims had any prior connection, and the motive behind the attacks remains unknown. Caudill is being held without bail and faces charges of first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder.
A GoFundMe page has been set up by Levno’s family and friends to help cover funeral expenses, highlighting her passion for horses, music, and her selfless nature.
