A man is now facing felony charges after Valdosta police discovered approximately 52 grams of cocaine during an investigation.
On Thursday, Jan. 16, detectives from the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit began investigating complaints of potential narcotics sales at an apartment located in the 1100 block of North Oak Street. During their investigation, officers spoke with the residents of the apartment. David London, 43, was found to have an active federal arrest warrant through the United States Marshal’s Service.
Valdosta police officers took London into custody. During the search, detectives located approximately 52 grams of cocaine, as well as tools commonly used in narcotic sales. London was transported to Lowndes County Jail.
In addition to the active arrest warrant, London now faces additional charges, including:
- Trafficking in cocaine – felony
- Tampering with evidence – felony
- Possession of drug-related items – misdemeanor
