Trump’s Inaugural Fundraising Rakes in Millions from Crypto Firms and Major Donors

President Donald Trump’s 2025 inaugural committee has raised millions from cryptocurrency companies and other influential sectors, signaling strong ties between the tech and energy industries and the Trump administration. Disclosures filed with the Senate Office of Public Records show that prominent crypto firms, including Coinbase, Crypto.com, Galaxy Digital, Paradigm Operations, and Kraken, each donated $1 million. Robinhood Markets contributed an additional $2 million.

Trump, who once expressed skepticism toward cryptocurrencies, has fully embraced the industry, with the crypto sector playing a significant role in his political fundraising efforts. Venture capitalists such as Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz, along with the Winklevoss twins, have also been major contributors. As part of his administration’s pro-crypto stance, Trump appointed venture capitalist David Sacks as the “crypto czar,” leading efforts to reform regulations and create a national digital asset stockpile.

Beyond crypto, the committee received substantial donations from other industries anticipating favorable policies from the Trump administration. Chevron Corp. contributed $2 million, a significant increase from its 2017 donation. The renewable energy sector also showed support, with Hanwha Q Cells America and GE Vernova each donating $500,000.

Other returning donors include tech giants Amazon, Meta Platforms, and Goldman Sachs, each giving $1 million, as well as healthcare companies Bayer and Johnson & Johnson. These contributions underscore the political clout of major corporations aligning with Trump’s policy agenda.
