Trump’s agenda includes a severe crackdown on immigration, a rollback of green energy projects in favor of more oil and gas drilling, and a continuation of tax cuts from his first term that predominantly benefit wealthier Americans. Additionally, Trump hinted at a removal of income tax on service workers’ tips, a proposal that would impact the nation’s service industry. He reaffirmed his intention to fund these initiatives through tariffs on foreign goods, despite experts warning that such a move could drive inflation and harm American consumers.
While House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has expressed optimism about passing the bill in the House by early April, the razor-thin Republican majority makes the task daunting.
