TRAGIC: Yonkers Teen Charged with Murder in Double Fatal Stabbing

A tragic and senseless act of violence has left the Yonkers community in shock after a 17-year-old was charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of two 16-year-old boys outside a residence on Lake Avenue.

According to Yonkers police, officers responded to 136 Lake Avenue around 8 p.m. on Thursday, where they discovered two teenage victims suffering from stab wounds. Officers attempted to administer aid before both teens were transported to local hospitals, but sadly, neither survived.

Authorities say the violence began when one of the victims entered the residence and got into a heated argument with the suspect. The dispute quickly escalated, and the suspect allegedly stabbed the teen in the chest. As he attempted to flee, he was confronted by the second victim at the entrance. The suspect then reportedly stabbed the second teen multiple times in the abdomen and upper chest before running away.

The 17-year-old suspect, a Yonkers resident, was apprehended on Friday and is now facing two counts of second-degree murder, classified as an A1 felony. He is expected to be arraigned in the Youth Part of Westchester County Court in the coming days.

Due to their ages, the identities of the suspect and victims have not been released. However, police confirmed that one victim was from Yonkers and the other from Queens.

This heartbreaking incident has left the community mourning the senseless loss of two young lives. Authorities continue to investigate, and residents are calling for increased efforts to prevent youth violence and ensure justice for the victims and their families.
