Las Vegas is reeling from a heartbreaking tragedy after a teenage boy was brutally gunned down while walking home from a party on Sunday night.
According to authorities, the shocking incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on February 16. Police responded to multiple reports of gunfire near the 4700 block of Corsaire Avenue, close to Lamb Boulevard and Craig Road. When officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators revealed that the victim had attended a party in the area and was walking home when he was followed by a group of men, including 18-year-old Damian Delgado. After trailing the teen for several blocks, Delgado reportedly pulled out a gun and opened fire before fleeing with the group, leaving behind a horrifying scene.
In a swift breakthrough, officers tracked down Delgado and took him into custody. He has since been booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he remains held without bail on an open murder charge. Additionally, he faces multiple other charges, including conspiracy to commit murder, evading law enforcement, and destroying evidence.
Delgado is set to make his first court appearance on February 18 as the community grapples with the devastating loss of a young life cut short by senseless violence.
