UTICA, Ky. (WFIE) – Kentucky State Troopers made a significant discovery during a search last week in Daviess County, uncovering a variety of drugs and arresting three individuals.
The operation took place at around 2 a.m. last Monday on East Harmons Ferry Road in Utica, near the Daviess-McLean County line.
What they found was shocking: several pounds of suspected methamphetamine, psilocybin (hallucinogenic mushrooms), cocaine, alprazolam, Xanax, anabolic steroids, and marijuana. Alongside the drugs, officers also discovered scales, indoor cultivation setups, and other drug paraphernalia.
The search led to the arrest of three people who are now facing numerous charges. Here’s what we know about them:
Edward J. Morris (44, Utica)
- Charges:
- Trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and hallucinogens.
- Possession of various controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
- Cultivating marijuana.
- Wanton endangerment.
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
- Violating a Kentucky Emergency Protection/Domestic Violence Order.
Keisha L. Morris (33, Utica)
- Charges:
- Trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and hallucinogens.
- Possession of various controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
- Cultivating marijuana.
Case B. Layson (20, Livermore)
- Charges:
- Similar charges to Edward Morris, including trafficking in anabolic steroids and possession of paraphernalia.
Layson’s mugshot was not immediately available.
