Harris County, Texas – Federal and local law enforcement are actively working at a property in north Harris County as part of an investigation tied to the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans.
The FBI in Houston, alongside the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, has set up operations near Hugh Road and Crescent Peak Drive. Authorities have secured the area and are asking people to stay away for their safety.
A SWAT team arrived at the scene, adding to the tense atmosphere. Witnesses saw at least four children and five adults being escorted out of a neighboring house. Shortly afterward, a man emerged from another home with his hands raised as officers aimed their weapons at him. He was taken into custody without incident.
Public records link the address being searched to the suspect involved in the New Orleans attack. However, officials have not disclosed further details about his connection to the crime.
