Statesville police are searching for Chance Jalieb Jamison, a 23-year-old man suspected of carrying out multiple armed robberies at Dollar General stores throughout the city. Jamison faces charges including possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and second-degree kidnapping.
According to authorities, he is believed to have committed at least three robberies—one at the Dollar General on West Front Street and two at stores on Shelton Avenue. During each incident, Jamison and an accomplice entered the stores, demanded money, and attempted to gain access to safes. Fortunately, no employees were harmed during the robberies.
Jamison, who has a prior conviction for conspiracy to commit robbery, was recently released from prison last August but now has active warrants from nearby agencies.
He remains at large, and police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Statesville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit at 704-878-3406.
