A single-vehicle crash in Scott County, Missouri, on the night of January 25 left three women injured, with one sustaining serious injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 450 and County Road 452, located approximately two miles south of Vanduser.
The crash involved a 28-year-old woman from Sikeston, Missouri, who was driving a passenger car westbound. As she approached the intersection, the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment. The driver sustained only minor injuries in the crash.
Two passengers were in the vehicle at the time. A 24-year-old woman, also from Sikeston, was seriously injured and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. The second passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Troy, Tennessee, sustained minor injuries. All three women were transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for medical treatment following the crash.
MSHP reported that the vehicle was totaled in the accident. The highway patrol’s crash report did not indicate any further details about the cause of the crash or if alcohol or other factors played a role in the incident.
