Shocking Tragedy in North Las Vegas: Manhunt for Homicide Suspect

The U.S. Marshals are actively searching for Luis Lopez-Quezada, a man wanted in connection with a homicide that took place in North Las Vegas over two years ago. Lopez-Quezada, 51, is considered armed and dangerous, with a history that includes violent tendencies and international ties. According to a wanted poster from the U.S. Marshals Service, Lopez-Quezada poses a significant risk to the public.

The tragic incident occurred on November 10, 2022, at a 7-Eleven convenience store in North Las Vegas. The Clark County coroner’s report revealed that the alleged victim, 37-year-old Tanoaalii Fetaomi Tevaseu, had attempted to use a microwave in the store, where he had previously been trespassed. An argument ensued between Tevaseu and Lopez-Quezada, culminating in Lopez-Quezada drawing his firearm and firing a shot, striking Tevaseu. The report noted that Tevaseu had substances like methamphetamine and THC in his system at the time.

Family members of Tevaseu, including his aunt Akenese Lelei, are heartbroken and hoping for justice. Lelei recalled her nephew as someone full of joy and respect, and she expressed her desire to see the person responsible held accountable.

The U.S. Marshals believe Lopez-Quezada may have fled to Mexico, though he also has ties to Las Vegas and Los Angeles, where he has evaded law enforcement. Anyone with information about Lopez-Quezada’s whereabouts is urged to contact the U.S. Marshals Service at 1-877-926-8332 immediately.
