DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. – A drug investigation in Duplin County has led to the arrest of two men after authorities executed a search warrant at their residence, uncovering a significant amount of illegal substances.
On Friday, deputies from the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, alongside their Special Operations Division and state Department of Adult Corrections probation officers, launched an operation targeting Darius Houston and Andrew McGlocking. Authorities had been investigating the two men for suspected drug activity, which ultimately led them to search a home on Larry Hooks Lane near Magnolia.
During the search, officers discovered over a pound of marijuana along with various pieces of drug paraphernalia. Law enforcement officials say this bust is part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the county.
As a result of the operation, Houston was taken into custody due to an outstanding arrest warrant from New Hanover County. Meanwhile, McGlocking is facing multiple charges, including:
- Felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver marijuana
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Misdemeanor possession of marijuana
- Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Following their arrests, both men were booked into the Duplin County Jail. Authorities confirmed that McGlocking’s bond was set at $50,000.
