CHICAGO – A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a chilling series of murders that terrorized Chicago’s Southwest Side over a seven-month period in 2020.

Authorities announced that Antonio Reyes, who was already incarcerated, was formally charged on Tuesday for the fatal shootings of five individuals across Gage Park, Brighton Park, and West Lawn.

According to police, the murders occurred at the following locations:

  • March 2, 2020 – 2600 block of W. 59th St.
  • April 5, 2020 – 4100 block of S. Sacramento Ave.
  • May 1, 2020 – 5200 block of S. Homan Ave.
  • November 8, 2020 – 5400 block of S. Homan Ave.
  • November 9, 2020 – 4700 block of W. 59th St.

In addition to the five homicides, Reyes has been linked to four attempted murders. He now faces a total of nine felony charges.
