Duplin County Sheriff’s Office Issues Warrants for Two Wanted Men
The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office has updated the public on the status of two wanted individuals in the area. Christopher Smith, who was previously a person of interest, has now been captured and charged. He was arrested on Wednesday, following an extensive investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
The original search was initiated on Tuesday when the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, through its Special Operations Division, issued outstanding arrest warrants for Christopher Smith and Daniel Hardison. Smith faces multiple serious charges, including 19 counts related to the sale and delivery of drugs, as well as charges for manufacturing methamphetamine. These charges highlight his involvement in the illegal drug trade and drug production within the county.
On the other hand, Daniel Hardison is wanted for a range of offenses stemming from his actions during a recent arrest attempt. Deputies have listed Hardison as a suspect in cases involving eluding arrest, reckless driving, resisting a public officer, driving with a revoked license, and the possession of a fake title and registration card. These charges suggest a history of evasive behavior and disregard for traffic laws.
The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking the public’s help in locating Hardison, who remains at large. Authorities have urged anyone with information about his whereabouts or who may have seen him recently to come forward. Deputies have provided the following contact number for tips: (910) 372-9202. Anyone who has information is encouraged to reach out confidentially, assisting law enforcement in ensuring the swift apprehension of Hardison.
The Sheriff’s Office also thanked the public for their continued support in helping maintain the safety and security of Duplin County. With the arrest of Christopher Smith, authorities continue their efforts to address criminal activity in the area, focusing on keeping the community safe and holding offenders accountable.
