Missing Child Alert: 16-Year-Old with Autism Disappears in Miami Gardens

Authorities in Miami Gardens are urgently searching for a missing 16-year-old boy, Bless Lewis, who was last seen on Friday evening. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) issued a Missing Child Alert late Friday night, requesting the public’s assistance in locating the teenager.

According to Miami Gardens Police, Lewis left his home on foot around 5:55 p.m. on Friday, in the area of Northwest 32nd Place, near 201st Street. It is unclear where he was heading or what may have prompted him to leave the house. The search for the missing teen has intensified as officials seek any leads that could help them locate him quickly.

Bless Lewis is described as standing 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has black hair styled in dreadlocks and brown eyes. At the time he went missing, he was reportedly wearing a dark gray hoodie and black and gray pajama pants. Authorities also noted that he may be barefoot, adding to concerns for his well-being.

Of particular concern is the fact that Lewis is on the autism spectrum and is nonverbal, which could make it more difficult for him to communicate with others or seek help if he is in distress. This heightens the urgency of locating him as soon as possible to ensure his safety.

Miami Gardens Police and the FDLE have both launched an investigation into his disappearance. They are urging anyone with information regarding Lewis’ whereabouts to come forward. Authorities are asking the public to contact the FDLE’s Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse at 1-888-FL MISSING (1-888-356-4774), Miami Gardens Police at 305-474-2100, or to dial 911 immediately if they have any relevant information.

The search is ongoing, and authorities are hoping that the public’s vigilance will lead to finding Bless Lewis safely.
