Lenoir County, N.C. – A Kinston man is in custody facing multiple charges, including domestic violence and gun-related offenses, following a domestic disturbance that involved gunfire inside a residence.

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested 34-year-old Greg Griffin on Tuesday after responding to a domestic disturbance call on Ridgewood Drive. Dispatchers informed deputies that a woman had been physically assaulted and that gunshots had been fired inside the home.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies detained Griffin and conducted an investigation. Their findings revealed that Griffin had physically assaulted and strangled the woman during the incident. Evidence collected from the scene included multiple shell casings and a firearm, further corroborating reports of gunfire inside the occupied residence.
