A man was taken into custody following a SWAT operation in Central Laredo on Friday morning. According to reports from KGNS, the Webb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team served a search warrant at an apartment in the 1300 block of East Gustavus. Upon entering the residence, investigators discovered multiple baggies containing a total of 51.2 grams of cocaine.
The suspect, identified as 39-year-old David Cortez, was immediately arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Webb County Jail, where he is now being held.
