Jeremy Renner is celebrating a remarkable milestone—his second “ReBirthday”—marking two years since his near-fatal snowplow accident. The 53-year-old actor took to Instagram on Wednesday to express his gratitude for the medical professionals and loved ones who helped him through an incredibly difficult recovery.
Renner, known for his role in The Avengers, reflected on the life-changing accident that took place on New Year’s Day 2023, when he was crushed by a 14,000-pound snowplow while trying to assist his nephew.
In the post, Renner shared a photo from his hospital stay, surrounded by doctors and nurses who helped save his life. He thanked everyone involved in his recovery, saying, “I literally owe you my life.”
Renner also expressed deep appreciation for his nephew, neighbors, and first responders who rushed to his aid on the icy morning. Despite the traumatic experience, Renner remains optimistic, acknowledging the miracles and interventions that allowed him to recover.
The actor, who suffered over 30 broken bones and a collapsed lung, underwent intensive physical therapy and various treatments, including peptide injections and stem cell therapy. Renner’s journey of healing is ongoing, but he says he’s now stronger, more open, and more connected. The outpouring of support from family, friends, and fans, including his Avengers co-stars like Robert Downey Jr., helped him find the strength to return to his career. Renner is back on the set of Mayor of Kingstown, showcasing his resilience and determination to continue moving forward.
