Milwaukee Woman Charged in Alleged Murder-for-Hire Plot That Killed Bernell Hall

The Milwaukee Police Department continues to search for the unidentified suspects who carried out the fatal shooting. The incident occurred near 87th Street and Carmen Avenue just after 1 a.m. on November 1. Hall was found gunned down at the scene.

Hall’s family is grieving and demanding justice. His mother, Nicole Hall, believes Davis, Hall’s on-and-off girlfriend, orchestrated his killing due to an obsession with having a child with him. “I told him months ago to stop communicating with her. She wasn’t right,” Nicole said.

According to the criminal complaint, Davis initially claimed she and Hall were in a parked car when two masked men attempted to rob them. She alleged she fled the scene, hearing a single gunshot as she ran. However, investigators determined the robbery was staged and Davis had arranged the shooting.

Davis was implicated through recorded phone calls with an inmate with whom she had a romantic relationship. The calls revealed coded conversations leading up to the homicide. In one call, Davis told the inmate, “It’s going to happen real soon,” while another call, placed hours after the murder, included Davis saying, “They killed him.” When confronted, Davis reportedly struggled to explain her involvement.

Hall, a father of three with another child on the way, was remembered by loved ones as a caring father. His sister, Diane, rushed to the crime scene and recounted the heartbreaking moment she realized her brother was gone.

Davis’ cash bond was set at $100,000. Police are still seeking information on the unknown suspects. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7360 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or using the P3 Tips app.
