In a disturbing incident that has left the community shaken, two teenagers have been arrested and charged with assault and robbery following a violent attack inside the Downtown Crossing Macy’s in Boston. According to the latest reports, a group of five juveniles allegedly harassed, robbed, and brutally assaulted a man inside the store on Thursday afternoon.
Boston police responded to a distressing call just after 3 p.m. at 450 Washington St., where Macy’s loss prevention staff reported the horrifying attack. The victim, who was using the store’s restroom, was allegedly followed and filmed by the group before the situation escalated. In a shocking turn of events, the teens cornered him, stole his bag, and repeatedly punched and kicked him, police said. While the victim refused medical treatment, the emotional and physical trauma from such an attack is undeniable.
The group fled the scene towards the MBTA Red Line station, but officers quickly launched an investigation, reviewing security footage and identifying two suspects who matched the descriptions. The arrested individuals, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, are now facing serious charges.
