Exclusive: Ben Carson Urges Trump to Deliver Strong Military and ‘Common Sense’ for Victory

Ben Carson, a former presidential candidate and ex-Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, shared his thoughts on how President-elect Donald Trump can have a successful presidency. In a recent interview, Carson emphasized that Trump needs to focus on the nation’s military and energy resources to improve the economy.

Carson, 73, believes the key to success lies in using the country’s natural energy reserves. He suggested that this would help boost the economy. He also expressed the need to bring “common sense and logic” back into government decisions. Carson stated that a strong military is essential for maintaining a stable world, adding that a weak America could lead to global instability.

When asked for advice, Carson urged Trump to improve military recruitment, saying, “We have to stop deteriorating our military.” He pointed out that recruitment has been improving recently because people feel that common sense is returning to the country. Carson stressed that having a strong military is crucial for national and global stability.

In addition to military issues, Carson also mentioned the importance of not confusing children about their identity. He believes that Trump’s second term should address such issues. He stated, “Those would be some big things” for Trump to focus on, along with strengthening America’s position in the world.

Carson had previously run against Trump in the 2016 election but dropped out after poor performances in the primaries. He ended his campaign at CPAC, where he acknowledged that he couldn’t win the race but remained committed to helping the country. Despite his decision to leave the campaign, Carson later praised Trump, saying that Trump genuinely wanted to succeed as president.

After Trump’s victory, Carson was appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, despite having no experience in housing or government. His appointment surprised many, but he was confirmed by the Senate in a vote of 58-41.
