LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A 20-year-old man from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of an 18-month-old toddler.

On Tuesday, January 7, Terrance Corbin was babysitting two young children when he reportedly noticed the toddler was not breathing normally. According to Public Affairs Officer Chris Denham, Corbin contacted the children’s mother to inform her of the situation and later called 911 when the child’s condition worsened. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported the toddler to Norton Children’s Hospital for treatment.

Medical professionals determined that the child had suffered severe injuries, including substantial bleeding around her scalp and face and multiple skull fractures. Despite medical intervention, the 18-month-old succumbed to her injuries on Thursday, just two days after being hospitalized.
