Breaking News: Two Arrested in Connection to U.S. Border Agent David Maland’s Death, Tied to Cult-Like Group

Two individuals have been arrested in connection to the tragic killing of U.S. Border Patrol agent David Maland, with authorities linking the crime to a larger, violent group. Maland, 44, a Minnesota native, was tragically killed while on duty. The two suspects, aged 34 and 33, face charges of possession of a handgun in a vehicle, trespassing, and obstruction, as investigations continue.

Maland’s death is believed to be connected to a radical, cult-like group known as the “Zizians.” This group, made up of highly intelligent computer scientists, has been linked to multiple homicides across Vermont, Pennsylvania, and California. Their radical beliefs, influenced by violent anarchism, have led to a series of killings, with Agent Maland’s death marking the latest tragedy.

The Zizians’ story began in 2016, with a controversial blog written by Jack LaSota, a transgender woman known by the online persona “Ziz.” The blog, originally covering topics like radical veganism, gender identity, and artificial intelligence, has evolved into a platform that has allegedly inspired violent actions by its followers. Authorities have uncovered connections to at least six death investigations across the country, all seemingly tied to the Zizians.

The suspects, who had been living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, were seen engaging in suspicious behavior, including parking box trucks outside their residence with electrical cords running between them. The FBI recently conducted a search of the property, further deepening the investigation.

As the case unfolds, the suspects are scheduled for a bail hearing on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, David Maland will be laid to rest with full military honors at Fort Snelling on Saturday, as the investigation into this chilling and complex case continues.
