Las Vegas – A shocking federal indictment has been filed against a Las Vegas woman accused of drugging and defrauding victims she met online, leading to at least three deaths.

Authorities allege that between 2019 and 2022, Phelps targeted victims—primarily older men—through dating sites, sedating them with prescription drugs to gain access to their financial accounts. One victim was reportedly in a coma for five days, while another was kidnapped and taken to Mexico for ransom, ultimately leading to his death.

Court records state that in May 2022, Phelps met a victim for a date in Guadalajara. Days later, he was found dead, and Phelps allegedly used his money to purchase a gold coin.

Phelps, currently in Mexican custody, is undergoing extradition proceedings to face trial in the U.S. If convicted on all charges, she could receive a maximum sentence of life in prison.
