HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Authorities are searching for a suspect after two women were shot in a shocking act of violence on Thursday evening.
According to the Huntsville Police Department, officers responded to a call about a possible shooting around 6 p.m. in the 400 block of Countess Road. Upon arrival, they discovered two female victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police believe the suspect fled the scene on foot immediately after the attack. A K-9 unit was deployed in an attempt to track the individual, but officers were unable to locate the shooter.
Huntsville Emergency Medical Services confirmed that both victims were rushed to Huntsville Hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as police continue their investigation. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward.
