In a shocking turn of events, three men have been arrested in connection with a violent home invasion and robbery in Oil City, Louisiana. The crime took place early Sunday morning (Feb. 23) in the 100 block of Pines Street, leaving the victim unconscious after being repeatedly struck in the head with a weapon.
According to the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office, the suspects stole a gaming console, a handgun, and cash before fleeing the scene. Their escape, however, was short-lived.
Shortly after the robbery, authorities responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Belcher/Oil City Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the individuals involved in the crash matched the descriptions of the robbery suspects.
Inside their vehicle, law enforcement found a black backpack containing a gaming console and a gun that perfectly matched the victim’s stolen handgun.
The suspects were identified as Sastavion Stefan Polk, 29, and Lorenzo Lamond Oliver, 43, both of Shreveport. Polk faces multiple charges, including armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen firearm. Oliver has been charged with armed robbery. Both are currently booked at the Caddo Correctional Center.
Authorities also arrested Charles Ray Watson Jr., 31, of Dallas, who was found with the suspects. Watson was taken into custody on three outstanding warrants from Garrison County, Texas, which include charges of escape while arrested, felony confinement, and evading arrest. Additional charges against him may be forthcoming.
This shocking crime has sent ripples through the community, raising concerns about safety and crime prevention. As investigations continue, law enforcement urges anyone with information related to this case to come forward.
No bond amounts have been set for the suspects.
