Authorities in Culver City are searching for two armed suspects involved in a violent ATM robbery that took place in broad daylight on Thursday.
According to the Culver City Police Department, the attack occurred just before noon in the 5500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard. The victim had just withdrawn $400 from an ATM when he was confronted by two suspects.
The first suspect, armed with a gun, held the weapon to the victim’s head before repeatedly punching him. After knocking him to the ground, both suspects continued the assault before fleeing with the stolen cash. They were last seen running into a nearby alley.
Police have described the first suspect as a thin man, approximately 5’9”, wearing a red and black jacket with a white stripe across the middle and black pants. No description has been released for the second suspect.
