Wilson, North Carolina – The Wilson Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a woman who has gone missing amid dangerously cold temperatures. Authorities have issued a Missing Endangered Alert for 66-year-old Cinderella Lea, who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.
According to the police department, Lea was last seen around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, on the 500 block of Grove Street. She is described as a 5-foot-2, 140-pound woman with short gray hair and brown eyes.
Officials have expressed concerns over Lea’s safety, particularly due to the current cold weather in the region. WITN Meteorologists report that the area will experience temperatures in the low 20s, with wind chills dropping into the teens. Thursday morning is expected to be the coldest, with wind chills possibly reaching the low teens.
When last seen, Lea was wearing a green or gray coat, a pink, white, and orange dress, a blue short-sleeve shirt, and black boots. The police department has emphasized the urgency of locating her, given the extreme weather conditions, which could pose serious risks to her health.
