New Year’s Shock: 11-Year-Old Caught in Northwest Atlanta Shooting Incident

An 11-year-old child was grazed by a bullet on New Year’s Day during an incident at a gas station in northwest Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The incident happened around 8:22 p.m. at the Exxon gas station located at the corner of Chappell Road and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway NW. Police shared that the child was struck by a bullet but thankfully only grazed. Afterward, the child was driven to a nearby hospital by someone at the scene, even before emergency crews could arrive.
