A tragic shooting in Austin claimed the life of a 30-year-old man on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. on the 5200 block of West Washington Boulevard, according to Chicago police.
The man was sitting in a car when another vehicle pulled up. Someone stepped out of the approaching car and opened fire. The victim was struck multiple times, suffering gunshot wounds to his head and body.
Emergency responders rushed the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead.
