An 83-year-old woman’s lottery winnings were violently stolen in a brazen attack outside a store in Orlando, Florida. The incident occurred on Curry Ford Road, where surveillance footage captured the suspect, Diego Stalin Tavarez Fleury, targeting the elderly woman shortly after she collected her winnings from the convenience store.
In the footage, Fleury is seen walking up to the woman as she heads to her car, forcibly attempting to take the cash she had just claimed. Despite her efforts to resist, another man, who had been inside the store, came outside and tried to intervene, creating a brief struggle between the suspect and the victim.
Fleury, however, became increasingly aggressive, attacking the woman and dragging her further into the parking lot while the good Samaritan tried to pull him off. Ultimately, Fleury managed to steal her winnings and fled the scene. The suspect is now wanted for robbery, sudden snatching, and battery on a person aged 65 or older.
Authorities have released the footage in hopes of identifying Fleury, who is believed to still be at large. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office immediately. The community is rallying around the victim, offering support and calling for justice in this heartbreaking incident.
