3) Daddy’s Home 2
Most movies don’t need a sequel. Daddy’s Home is clearly one of them. This cash-in on the moderately successful original that spends much of the movie being over-the-top and obnoxious before reeling in the predictable heartwarming finale, a lazy recipe that is already well worn out. Here, the writing is mostly to blame, though an overstuffed cast and some all-too-on-the-nose role for Mel Gibson and John Lithgow don’t help much. You can bet there will be a third coming next year.
